Onward NRV Attends Local AUVSI Symposium

Onward NRV supported the AUVSI Ridge and Valley Chapter Symposium on Unmanned Systems on October 26, 2021. Director of Marketing Katie Boswell attended the symposium on behalf of Onward NRV. Attending this yearly symposium is one of the ways that Onward NRV supports existing industry competitiveness in the region, which is part of Goal 1 in the organization’s five-year strategy.

The theme of this year’s symposium was “Partnerships for Autonomy”, and the event took place at the Inn at Virginia Tech. Torc Robotics CEO Michael Fleming was the keynote speaker. Jamey Jacob of the OSU Unmanned Systems Research Institute gave the spotlight address. Onward NRV sponsored the lunch for the symposium and promoted the Virginia’s New River Valley branding.

AUVSI stands for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International. AUVSI is “the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics”. The local Ridge and Valley chapter was organized by NRV industry stakeholders “to increase the visibility of the many unmanned systems assets our region offers”.
