They are a regional full-service communications provider offering land-line telephone, web and e-mail hosting, DSL, and fiber to the premises (FTTP). Citizens serves 12 counties and 3 cities in Southwest Virginia.

She shared a video showcasing Citizens’ commitment to provide quality service, excellent support, and advanced technology.

Executive Director of Onward NRV Katie Boswell welcomed Red Rooster Co-Owner Haden Polseno-Hensley to the podium as the evening’s guest speaker. Haden spoke about Red Rooster’s origins and how they have become nationally recognized for the quality of their coffee. He highlighted the benefits of having a business in Floyd County and how that has added to the value of their product.

Katie then updated investors on the NRV Experience, Onward’s summer intern program. She followed her update with the release of a new Virginia’s New River Valley video that targets young professionals. The “Find Your Place in Virginia’s New River Valley” video speaks to the affordable living, safe neighborhoods, and access to arts and culture in the NRV. The video will be used in digital marketing campaigns to attract talent and businesses to the region. Katie also encouraged attendees to register for the upcoming annual dinner on September 12th.
