Onward NRV Hosts Winter Investor Event at Pulaski Train Depot

Onward NRV hosted their investors at the Historic Train Depot in Downtown Pulaski for a cozy Winter Investor Event on Thursday, December 8th. The event was sponsored by Freedom First Credit Union.

Executive Director Katie Boswell welcomed elected officials, board members, investors, and guests to the event. Spencer Lowry of Freedom First Credit Union spoke about FFCU’s commitment to serving their NRV customers.

Boswell then updated the investors on recent prospect activity, a recent project promoting tech and manufacturing jobs to students through posters displayed in the local public schools, and the final updates to Onward 2028, Onward NRV’s new five-year economic development strategy for the region.

After the Onward NRV update, Boswell welcomed Dr. Pat Huber as the evening’s guest speaker. Dr. Huber has served as the President of New River Community College since 2017. During her talk, she shared about the pivotal role that education plays in economic development. Dr. Huber also informed the investors about some of the new programs that NRCC is developing to serve the residents of Virginia’s New River Valley.

Onward NRV would like to thank Freedom First Credit Union for sponsoring the Winter Investor Reception and to the 110+ investors who support Onward NRV’s mission through their continued support.
