November 2023 Tech Talent Digital Marketing Campaign Receives 200,000+ Views

During the month of November, Onward NRV ran a digital marketing campaign to promote tech jobs in Virginia’s New River Valley. Onward NRV’s goal for the campaign was to promote the emerging tech industry in the NRV to people who would consider moving to the region to live and work. The marketing campaign focused on specific cities in the southern region because these are the main areas where recent graduates tend to relocate and according to the 2023 DCI Talent Wars report, individuals often choose to stay in the same vicinity when considering a job change.

The campaign focused on the meaningful career opportunities in the vibrant tech community within the NRV. The campaign ran across all of Virginia’s New River Valley social media accounts which include Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter) as well as YouTube video ads. Onward NRV used the following videos to promote the tech industry during the digital initiative: “Tech in the NRV: Industry Hub” , “Tech Jobs: Work Hard. Play Hard.” , and the Virginia’s New River Valley Regional Video.

The campaign generated the following results:
