Onward NRV Sponsors AUVSI Chapter Fall Symposium

Onward NRV Executive Director Katie Boswell represented Onward NRV at the AUVSI Ridge & Valley Chapter’s Fall Symposium on October 24th. This annual event supports the flourishing uncrewed systems industry in the NRV. Onward NRV was the lunch sponsor for the event and used the opportunity to promote the Virginia’s New River Valley brand.

During the symposium, Katie also had the pleasure of moderating a panel discussion titled, “Navigating the Skies Together: Fostering Community Integration, Education, and Acceptance of Drone Technology”. The panelists included Dr. Eleanor Nelsen of Virginia Tech, Alice Griffith of Airspace Link, and Bailey Edwards of Wing. During the discussion, the panelists shared ways that they have effectively engaged with local communities to assist in the acceptance and adoption of drone usage in those communities.
