Virginia Business Features Industry Competitiveness Surveys

Virginia Business magazine featured the results of Onward New River Valley’s Industry Competitiveness Surveys in a recent article about 2020 business announcements in the region. The article, titled “A Diversified Portfolio”, describes three major business announcements from 2020 in the NRV and their impact on the NRV.

The article also discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting industries in Virginia’s New River Valley. Executive Director Charlie Jewell was interviewed for the article and shared data from Onward NRV’s Industry Competitiveness Surveys of the region’s manufacturing and tech sectors. According to Charlie, “[t]he numbers are really encouraging. Overall, both industries persevered through the pandemic.”
